KAHUKU, Hawai'i – Returning to where the season started, the Hawai'i Hilo Women's Cross Country team closed out regular-season competition Saturday morning at HPU's Sharks Open 6K run at the Kahuku Golf Course on the North Shore of O'ahu.
Olivia Jarvis led the Vulcans with a 17th-place finish as Hawai'i Hilo finished third in the team results among HPU and the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. Chaminade also competed but did not have enough runners to score as a team.

UH Manoa placed first with runners finishing in the first nine slots as Emile Langschwager took the top spot at a tme of 22:10.0.
On the men's side, Chaminade won by default as HPU did not have enough runners to score. Silverswords' Mason Stewart finished first at an 8K time of 29:08.0.
Hawai'i will have two weeks to prepare for the PacWest Conference Championships on Oct. 21 in Fresno, California.
