HILO, Hawai'i – Already sporting a double-digit halftime lead, the Vulcans came out of the break shooting red hot as Hawai'i Hilo Men's Basketball reached triple digits in a 116-66 victory over Northwest Indian College Friday evening at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium.
Hawai'i Hilo shot 61.9 percent from the field in the second half as it outscored NWIC, 70-30. The Vulcans finished with 13 splashes from beyond the arc (44.8 percent) and finished the game at 53.8 percent overall.
Julio Montes II led with 20 points on 8-of-10 shooting with four 3-pointers from beyond the arc. Jake Kosakowski made his official debut of the season, putting in 17 points on five 3-pointers. Jarin Edwards and Telryn Villa each scored 10 points.
