Men's Basketball Caps 2024 with Victory Over Kansas Wesleyan

2024 De Luz Chevrolet Big Island Holiday Classic

HILO, Hawai'i – Hawai'i Hilo Men's Basketball capped the 2024 calendar year with a victory over Kansas Wesleyan, 83-55, Saturday afternoon as part of the De Luz Chevrolet Big Island Holiday Classic at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium.

The Vulcans splashed 12 buckets from beyond the arc (.571) while finishing with an overall shooting percentage of 50.0 percent, led by 14 points from Julio Montes II (4-5 FG; 3-4 3PT). Jake Kosakowski followed with 11 points and John Davis III with 10 along with 10 rebounds from Nadjrick Peat (8 points).

Hawai'i Hilo moved to 8-4 overall (1-1 PacWest) while Kansas Wesleyan stayed at a 7-6 record with the match counting as an exhibition for the Coyotes.
