SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA – Hawai'i Hilo Women's Tennis wrapped up its spring break gauntlet of matches at 1-2 with a clean 4-0 victory over Westmont along with defeats to No. 45 Concordia University Irvine, 4-0, and No. 17 Point Loma, 6-1.

Overall on the week, the Vulcans posted a 2-4 record. Hikari Osaki and Satoho Toriumi both combined to go 4-2 in doubles matches, playing all but one of their wins together. In the final match against PLNU, Osaki teamed with Julia Barden and Osaki with Hana Hofmanova to claim the doubles point. 

Hawai'i Hilo traded 4-0 blankings, first in a loss to No. 45 CUI before flipping for a victory over Westmont. The Vulcans had the 1-0 advantage over the Sea Lions but were swept in singles play.

With the final stretch to the Pacific West Conference Championship in Surprise, Arizona, Hawai'i Hilo finds itself in the middle of the pack at 7-6. The first conference rankings will be released Wednesday.

Hawai'i Hilo moved to 7-6 overall while Concordia University Irvine moved to 10-3, Westmont to 1-14 and Point Loma to 12-2.

The Vulcans return to the Big Island for their final matches of the regular season, taking on Chaminade in a doubleheader on March 31 followed by HPU, April 6-7, at the UHH Tennis Courts.

Pacific West Conference Championship is set for April 17-20 at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex in Arizona.
