Vulcans Set for PacWest Championship Tournament

Hawai‘i Hilo Men's Basketball takes on Biola in Thursday's First Round of action.

SAN DIEGO, California – Teams, matchups and game times are all set for this week's Pacific West Conference Men's Basketball Championships at Point Loma's Golden Gymnasium.

Regular season co-champions Point Loma and Academy of Art have earned the No. 1 and 2 seeds, respectively, and will have First Round byes Thursday (March 7). The Sea Lions topped the Urban Knights on the final night of the regular season to move into a tie at the top with 15-5 conference records. They split their regular-season series and, thus, share the 2024 conference banner.

Play begins 12:30 p.m. (10:30 a.m. Hawai'i Time) on Thursday with the men playing first this year. No. 6 seed Azusa Pacific (10-10) will face No. 3 HPU (13-7), followed by No. 5 Hawai'i Hilo (12-8) against No. 4 Biola (12-8). In Friday's semifinals, the APU-HPU winner will square off with Academy of Art at 12:30 p.m. (10:30 a.m. Hawai'i Time), and the UHH-Biola victor will play Point Loma at 2:45 p.m. (12:45 p.m. Hawai'i Time).

Single-day tickets and three-day tournament passes to the 2024 PacWest Basketball Championships are now on sale at ThePacWest.com/tickets.

Single-day ticket prices are $12 for adults, $5 for students with ID, military with ID, seniors (age 65+), and children (12-18), with three-day tournament passes available for $30 (no discounts for tournament passes).

Children under the age of 12 are admitted free.
