Vulcans Women's Basketball: 2025-26 Schedule

HILO, Hawai'i – The 2025-26 Hawai'i Hilo Women's Basketball schedule features 28 contests as the Vulcans enter the 16th season under head coach David Kaneshiro.

The Vulcans will leave the 50th state to travel to the 49th state to open the season with a three-game trip against Alaska (Nov. 14), The Master's (Nov. 15) and Alaska Anchorage (Nov. 18). It will be the first time since 2017-18 Hawai'i Hilo has played a non-conference contest outside the state of Hawai'i — the Vulcans split two games with Alaska in 2017.

The rest of the non-conference portion will be back in the islands for the annual Big Island Holiday Classic in November, taking on Gannon (Pennsylvania) and Wingate (North Carolina) followed later by an exhibition against UH Manoa on Dec. 11 at the Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center — televised on Spectrum Sports Hawai'i.

"We're looking forward to the season and the opportunities it brings," Kaneshiro said. "Starting off with a road trip to Alaska will be a great early test, and we're excited to see how this group comes together and competes throughout the year."

Home conference contests include: HPU (Dec. 4), Chaminade (Dec. 6), Dominican (Jan. 15), Vanguard (Jan. 17), Westmont (Jan. 20), Concordia (Jan. 22), Biola (Jan. 24), Jessup (Feb. 12), Point Loma (Feb. 14), Fresno Pacific (Feb. 17) and Azusa Pacific (Feb. 21).

OTHER NOTES

PacWest Conference Championships six-team postseason tournament will be held March 5-7 in San Diego, California hosted by Point Loma.

Hawai'i Hilo will once again host the Big Island Holiday Classics in November and December at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium. The November schedule features four NCAA Division-II squads with the Vulcans, Gannon, Wingate and Saginaw Valley State (Michigan), while the December slate brings in Division-III teams Loras (Iowa), Hilbert (New York), Blackburn (Illinois) and North Park (Illinois).
