IRVINE, Calif.-- Aniwaniwa Tait-Jones was awarded this week's PacWest Player of the Week for his performances against Point Loma and Hawaii Pacific in the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium.

Tait-Jones performed well on offense and on defense
against the Sea Lions on Monday, Dec. 6 contributing 15 points, five assists, seven rebounds, three steals and a block in the Vulcans 84-73 win against the PacWest preseason coaches favorite PLNU. Â

On Sunday, Dec. 12 Tait-Jones led the Vulcans in another strong performance. He was UHH's lead scorer with 21 points, shooting 9-for-11 in the field. He also contributed with two assists and four rebounds in
UH Hilo's 79-67 victory over Hawaii Pacific.

Tait-Jones is currently third in the conference in scoring and rebounds. He has posted 155 points and 68 rebounds thus far.
