Aniwaniwa Tait-Jones was named the 2022 Big Island Holiday Classic men's basketball Most Valuable Player after the Vulcans notched wins over Milligan and Central Methodist. Against the Buffaloes, the sophomore shot 8 for 11 to total 16 points, seven rebounds, two assists and one steal followed by a double-double against the Eagles on 21 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, one steal and one block.
