Hawai'i Hilo sophomore Aniwaniwa Tait-Jones was voted to the 2022-23 Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association Men's Basketball All-West Region Second Team as announced Thursday morning.
The 2022-23 All-PacWest First Team selection finished the regular season ranked No. 2 in rebounds per game (9.1), No. 3 in total rebounds (154), No. 3 in points per game (16.8), No. 7 in assists per game (3.5) and No. 11 in points scored (286).
The third-year sophomore set PacWest single-game bests in points (37 vs Dominican) and field goals (15 vs Dominican), and tied for third-best for field goals (12 vs Concordia University Irvine). On a national level, Tait-Jones finished ranked No. 8 in defensive rebounds per game (7.64) and No. 29 in double-doubles (9).
Tait-Jones also achieved a career milestone after surpassing 1,000 career points toward the end of the season.
The five members of the All-West Region First Team will be placed on the national ballot for All-American consideration. All-America Teams will be released Sunday, March 19.
Point Loma Nazarene's Kaden Anderson was named West Region Player of the Year.

Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association
The D2 CCA Player of the Year award and All-Region Teams are nominated and selected by members of the region's athletics communications staffs.
The D2 CCA encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of high education. The D2 CCA is a key communications link among the conferences as they discuss views, policies and regulations that impact NCAA Division II athletics and works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA Division II member colleges and universities.
